We make our gear with American made products, add a lot of color, and customize it to your needs. Our physical storefront is a fully equipped rafting store stocked with dry bags to boat toys so come check us out on your way to the Green or Yampa Rivers! Let us customize a raft setup for you unlike anyone you will ever come across on the river and that will last a lifetime. Or if you're not into rafting there are plenty of other uses for our gear such as grocery shopping, sport gear hauling, and much more. Josh and Maegan are the founders AND employees of Good Vibes River Gear. They hand sew ALL the mesh gear they sell. Josh Veenstra was born and raised in Craig, CO. He started GVRG in his garage after seeing gear on the river during his 24 day trip from the Yampa River to the Green River, a 200 mile trip. He wanted to add color and excitement to river gear as well as get away from his job as an insulator mechanic at the local power plant. In the day to day grind at the power plant, Josh dreamed of his time spent on the Yampa River as well as his joy for the outdoors and feeding his creativity. He started GVRG so he could be his own boss and provide bomber gear for the rafting world. GVRG has since morphed in many ways, including expanding to the general population with our mesh grocery bags. The durable grocery bags have become our best seller, not even a raft product haha. Josh is excited about what the future of GVRG will be!
Mission Statement: Good Vibes River Gear provides the rafting community at large with the best quality rafting gear, and we provide information and gear to assist all people in enjoying the Moffat County’s great outdoors. Our mission is to educate the Moffat County community of the importance and opportunities the Yampa River provides through advocacy, education and conservation. We focus on the next generation to educate youth about respect and conservation of the river and ecosystems, ensuring our river flows freely for many years.
